Common sense by Oliver for healthy kidneys
What are the side effects of your dog not emptying its bladder completely?
Think about it we’ve trained city pets to hold their bodily functions until they leave the house, this means they relieve themselves once every 5-6 hours, so waste is accumulating.
When they walk they need time to sniff, marking territory, assessing who (doggy who) has been there before them, boys want to know if there are girls on their walking route and vice versa. And if you’re smiling, we do the same so let your dog have that luxury!
So this is what happens when kidneys cannot empty themselves they accumulate, and eventually we have a whole generation of pets with kidney disorders, add that to the changing environmental and climatic conditions that we live in.
The number of kidney disorders is on the rise vets will tell you, so what is in your control for your pet his/her daily walk make sure is a good one. Make sure you let your dog walker know that they need to be patient with the animal.
Let them empty their bladders teach your dog walker or even yourself for that matter to allow your dog to stop and sniff for as long as they want to.
